Following families of ducks and geese into the lush river mouth you’ll paddle through flowing lilies and around bends of overhanging greenery. Flowing with the current, you can lounge lazily along with just a few strokes to steer through narrow passages. This journey will take you across Alta Lake through the Whistler wetlands down a scenic glacier river. Learn about Whistler’s history, geography, flora, and fauna. Choose between a canoe or single or double kayak. Our knowledgeable and qualified adventure guides will show you paddling techniques. Water levels are always changing and this tour is always an adventure, be it fast moving water in the spring or obstacles like beaver dams in late summer.
Alta Lake Nature Paddle
Choose a canoe or kayak and paddle across Alta Lake to Rainbow Park and visit Whistler’s original homestead. Then paddle to the flower filled mouth of the River of Golden Dreams.
